2026 Summit for Change (Jacksonville)

Advocacy with Impact

Update: Registration for the Summit is now closed

In our rapidly changing world, justice system professionals must continue to evolve in their understanding of the forces that shape clients’ lives and individual practices to effectively advocate for justice.

Presented in partnership between ARC and the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center, the 2026 Jacksonville Summit for Change, Advocacy with Impact, on April 15-17, convenes professionals from the legal, social work, justice, health and education fields.

Participants will explore the intentional strategies, resilience, and interdisciplinary work necessary to advance justice, support clients, and drive systemic change. Sessions include a panel discussing mitigation strategies for capital defenders navigating today’s legal climate, context to client realities shaped by trauma and mental health, and more!

See the provisional agenda here.

The powerful combination of See the Girl’s (Policy Center’s) unique girl-focused justice reform work and ARC’s efforts to advance empathy, dignity, and equity provides meaningful opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Registration for this training is limited to defense practitioners and advocates, including defense attorneys, mitigation specialists, fact investigators, paralegals, justice advocates, and students planning to practice criminal defense or advocacy. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility to attend this training, please contact Mary Roberts at [email protected]

CLE / CEU Credits

ARC has obtained CLE approval from the Florida State Bar and the Georgia Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency. We are also seeking approval for CLE credits in Alabama; however, accreditation in those states is not guaranteed.

The Summit has been approved for CEU credits through LSF Health Systems, a not-for-profit Managing Entity contracted with the Florida Department of Children and Families. Participants who wish to obtain CEU credits from LSF Health Systems are required to sign in for each session attended. A sign-in sheet will be available in each session room.

Upon request, ARC will provide documentation of attendance or other supporting materials for individuals seeking to apply for credits independently. Attendees pursuing professional credits are responsible for tracking any time spent outside of sessions in order to accurately document absences or extended time away from the Summit.

Venue

The training will be held at Jessie Ball DuPont Center, located at 40 E Adams St., Jacksonville, FL 32202.
