1. What information do we collect?
a. Information you provide to us
Personal Information. When creating an account to access our trainings or resources, or to receive newsletters from us, you may be asked to provide: your name, email address, mailing address, employer, or phone number. You may, however, visit many parts of our site anonymously.

Payment Data. ARC uses GiveLively to process all donations to our organization. All payment data is stored by GiveLively. You may find their privacy notice link here: https://www.givelively.org/privacy-policy. GiveLively only provides the following information to ARC regarding donors: name (if the gift is not anonymous), email address, gift amount total, and additional information you provide, such as whether a gift is made for a specific purpose or in honor of an individual.

b. Information Collected Automatically.
Information about your device. ARC automatically collects information about the device you use to access our resources and trainings. This includes information like your IP address, operating system information, browser information, and information about your device settings.
Information about your use of our resources and trainings. One of ARC’s primary missions is to provide essential training to mitigation specialists and other members of the defense in order to ensure access to justice for people facing the death penalty and other extreme sentences. Therefore, we collect information related to how and when you access our resources and trainings.

Cookies. We may receive information from cookies (small text files placed on your computer or device) and similar technologies. First-party cookies are placed by us (and our third-party service providers) and allow you to use the services and to help analyze and improve your experience and the services.

ARC uses your information in the following ways:

  • To provide you with trainings and resources.
  • To contact you. We use the information you provide us in order to send newsletters. You may opt-out of receiving such communications at any time.
  • To protect our website.
  • To report on our performance. We use information we collect from you to help us track the metrics and success of our trainings and resources and to perform financial reporting.
  • To improve our offerings. We use your information to help us understand how website vistors interact with our site, our resources and trainings, or to otherwise understand and improve our services.

We provide your information to our third-party service providers in order to carry out specific work for us.

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot be reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may provide a funder with the total number of users who accessed a training in order to emphasize the importance of our programmatic offerings.

We retain personal information until we determine it is no longer needed for the processing purposes for which we collected or retain it or for legal compliance.

5. Do we collect information from minors?

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we will not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under 13.
