Our staff spend countless hours meeting with clients, interviewing members of their community, collecting records, and much more so that we can share the true, accurate life history with the judges, juries, and prosecutors that decide their sentences. Every step in that process moves us toward more humane sentences. This takes time and resources, and much of it is not fully funded by criminal courts. We depend on our supporters who walk with us to make our work possible.
