ARC, Inc.;'s Capital Defense Community Discussions are hosted to offer space to defenders as we acknowledge the toll the work often takes and think through ways to implement the recommendations found in the report
When federal executions resumed at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of defenders, activists, and other community leaders began finding ways to support defense practitioners as work-related trauma increased. The first step in offering that support has been understanding how members of the community are affected and identifying needs. To do this, experts in trauma-informed care held focus groups with defenders to learn about their experiences. The TIC Audit Report to the Capital Defense Community (PDF) is a summary of their findings. We invite you to review them and join ARC, Inc. as we host community discussions via Zoom for capital defenders to acknowledge the toll the work often takes and think through ways to implement the recommendations found in the report. Sign up to attend one or both community discussions: February 8th, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST or February 13th, 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST – https://advancechange.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e5d9bd434c353a323c9fb48b0&id=cc5d9c1b53&e=54f1e00db8
